.The Declutter Community – A Community for Declutter-ers.

👋 Hey there! I’m so glad you’re here.

If you haven’t clicked away after reading the title of the page – The Declutter Community, then it means you are looking for information about decluttering and the community that will help you in your next steps!

Are you sick and tired of looking at piles and shuffling things around to find something? You know there’s a better way but you can’t let go of those extra pens you got on sale (although you know they will dry out before you actually use them) OR grandpapa’s great-aunt’s vintage brooch.

Do you want to clear the clutter so you can downsize? You know you won’t want to deal with the piles as you get older and you definitely don’t want your children to have to deal with it but those souvenirs, trophies, trinkets, cards, and gifts hold so many memories.

There’s so much stuff, where do you start? It’s overwhelming, I get it, and that’s why I’m committed to being your guide. I’ve been there. We’re a homeschooling family (hello books and papers!) who have generous teacher-types in our extended family as well as well-meaning relatives and friends whose love language is Gifts. I’ve done the work of trying out various challenges, courses, checklists, and other resources through the years (and still continuing to learn) so that I can help YOU clear the clutter from your home. Let’s get a finish our year strong for 2022. What do you think?

😊 What is The Declutter Community?

The Declutter Community is an online space for declutter-ers cheering each other on as we work toward clearing our homes so it can be a healthy, safe, cozy, and welcoming place for us, our families, and our guests. The community provides a place to share our decluttering goals, tasks, obstacles, and struggles, to check in with like-minded declutter-ers judgment-free, and to encourage one other on the decluttering journey. The free community and accountability are offered every month.

⭐️ What makes The Declutter Community different?

This is not a program. There are lots of programs. Some are great for some people but aren’t great for others. Because we’re all different, a program that worked well for one could be a complete non-success for another. I want to help you figure out what works for YOU! It could be an existing program (challenge, course, checklist, membership) or something completely different for your schedule, your season of life, your family, and your home.

It’s truly a community of support in our decluttering journeys no matter where we are. Our current small but mighty group has newbies and experienced declutter-ers. One member just moved into a new home while others have lived in their homes for over 4 decades! A few members have a lot of kids and others are empty nesters. Some members are working on digital clutter and others are sorting through boxes of who-knows-what. We’re all different and that’s what makes this community unique. I’ll help you figure out your game plan.

🚫 Who (maybe) should NOT join The Declutter Community (right now)?

  • You’re in a full season of life right now. (i.e. You’re a caregiver of older parents or lots of kids or a newborn…)
  • You’re going to do regular chores, tidy, clean, or organize instead of decluttering. (If there’s interest, I may offer this type of accountability group in the future.)
  • You’re not on Facebook that much. Accountability requires you to check and let everyone know how it’s going as well as to check on others in the group.
