About Me

Welcome!

Hi everyone! I’m Joyce, wife to Norm and mom to two wonderful girls. I have many roles, but above all else, I’m a child of God. I’m learning to seek Him daily and learning to love others as He loves them.

Besides that, I’m also a Bay Area native, I come from an amazing family of two sisters, a brother, and awesome parents, and I love all things family, friends, community, books, food, and learning-related. (Read about our family adventures at MoyChronicles.com.)

I look forward to journeying with you as we encourage one another to be better moms.

My Work-in-Progress Journey

How can I balance all the things? When can I find time to do the important when there are so many urgent things? What if I am messing up my kids?

I totally get it because I’ve been there. If I’m completely honest, there are many days when I’m still asking myself these questions and more! In the past few years, I’ve learned many, sometimes difficult, lessons about motherhood, life, and all the things. There have been overwhelming days and anxious nights, but with the help of mentors, encouragers, books, podcasts, a whole lotta prayers, I am finding grace, peace, and hope each new day!

I don’t know your story – where you have been, where you are now, and where you are going – but I would love to get to know you. Stories can help us be better moms – to know someone’s been through it and survived, someone’s in the thick of it with you, and that someone needs you to be brave and lead them through the motherhood.

I want to discover the joy in this important job God has given me to be my husband’s wife and my girls’ mom. I don’t want to be a perfect mom. I want to be a better mom.

About JoyceMoy.com

Because I am a Work-in-Progress Mom, this is a Work-in-Progress website/blog. I would love to share encouragement and practical steps to make motherhood a little easier, but I have no idea what God plans for me to do. I’ve tried to ignore the prompting because fear can be suffocating, and then there’s that whole introvert thing. So hang out, stay awhile, give some feedback (kind words only, mean ones hurt), and let’s journey together!

Oh, but before you go, if you want to get some encouragement for the year ahead, make sure to get your free Bible verse printable! There will be new Bible verse printables periodically, as well as other downloadable resources to help you take steps to embrace and overcome the challenges of motherhood.
