May I be so bold today to say that we can be hurting and happy and hopeful during this time and all in one moment.
We can be hurting for those who have been most impacted by this pandemic. Hear the stories. Find the resources. Send help however you can and/or definitely send prayers.
We can be happy for the blessings of being with family and all the creativity and connections brought by this pandemic. Hear the stories. Find the resources. Enjoy the time.
We can be hopeful for the beautiful and new opportunities to come because of the pandemic. Hear the stories. Find the resources. Dream a dream to start strong and/or lift one another up and make change and know better and be better and do better.
Everyday seems to bring more uncertainty and confusion but may I offer this verse as a prayer for you that our HelloMornings community prays each morning:
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life.
Psalm 143:8
I can’t guarantee I will be able to get back to everyone but if you have a prayer request or need something I can help with (from afar), there is a spot in the survey for all of it and you can message me (although I’m not always great about seeing all of them on FB). https://joycemoy.com/shelter-in-place-reflections
Praying for you and cheering you on!
Prayer request for my daughter and her Friends. This is their Senior year in High School and not how they pictured it to be. They miss being able to get together. Prom may not happen and graduation ceremony is up in the air. I know God is always in control and is always at work. It’s a struggle for them and the families the not knowing.
Thank you for sharing, Hilda! I saw the comment when you posted and haven’t had a chance to reply but I’ve been praying. My heart is hurting for those who are missing life milestones during this time as well as those who have been more directly impacted in life-changing ways. <3
