Beauty in the Everyday

If you follow me on Instagram, this isn’t a new post at all. It’s actually something I repost at least twice a month because I need my own reminders. If you’re on IG, say hi over there so we can cheer each other on.

BEAUTY ALONG THE CHAIN-LINK FENCE

Note: It doesn’t have to be a flower but I like to keep an eye out for them in places that aren’t always seemingly beautiful. <3 Many of my Beauty in the Everyday posts are flowers but sometimes it can be in the everyday things of life like dishes and trash and chores and activities and our neighborhood and the sky. 🙂

[repost] Sometimes we miss it in the rush of our comings and goings. It’s a little crazy over here too but slowing down. Just a friendly reminder for us all (myself included) to pause long enough to see the beauty around us.

Where have you unexpectedly found beauty in the everyday? Can you see it in the small things? Can you see it in the ordinary things? Can you see it in the simple things?

I know I share a bunch of funny conversations with the girls (mostly on FB), but we do serious sometimes. Sometimes we chat about how we take for granted the days we are given. We rush to this and that. We do all the things whether it breathes life into us or steals our joys, or whether it is life-giving to those around us because I guess that’s what Pinterest told us to do. We make assumptions because it’s easier and faster than sitting to hear the stories. Sometimes our moments are even filled with fun things, good things, beautiful things, kind things, but sometimes it can be too many things at once.

So today I challenge you to find beauty in the everyday. It may not be glorious or majestic or grand but the simple moments can add up to be a life well-lived when we make the most of them instead of missing them because of a cluttered soul.

What small thing has brought a little more beauty to your life?
