This is a 6-part decluttering series. Below are the links to the posts. If you want to read the whole thing in one post, head over to this page.

PROGRAMS
There are LOTS of programs out there. If you decide not to design your own challenge or try one of the following programs, let me know what you decided to do or which program has helped you in the past. I can point you to other resources if you’d like, just let me know. These are some that I have either gone through or has come highly recommended by trusted sources. (Scroll past the next 2 photos from last year for the programs.)
I did a few things last year but one was creating a BINGO board. One program I feature below has some boards available so check that out. And here are some post from last year that may show you the difference small things can do – https://joycemoy.com/april2019-declutter.
Before pic of a closet…we have 2 closets like this, one shelved linen closet, and one bigger closet with sliding mirrored doors but sadly none do their jobs very well because of the timing our move into our home, other priorities, and a list of other excuses. This may be what I need to work on next? :p

Most of these are new to me and they look like doable checklists/calendars for those starting out although a few are quasi cleaning/organization tasks. You can scale it down to just decluttering but keep the same space that is assigned.

RECOMMENDED READS
I have read or skimmed all these and they are all great!
- *Clutter Free by Kathi Lipp
- *Decluttering at the Speed of Life by Dana White
- *Simply Clean by Paperback – Becky Rapinchuk
- *Unstuffed: Decluttering Your Home, Mind, and Soul by Ruth Soukup
PAID COURSES/MEMBERSHIPS
It has been awhile since I’ve been in Kathi’s group but it has always been amazing. I don’t know if there is a free group available anymore but I think there is. You’ll have to look for that, but it is a wonderful community!! FYI, it’s not so great if Facebook and/or notifications are a distraction in your life.
I’ve done Clutter Free through the book, the Bible study, the challenge groups, as well as the online course. They are all fabulous and I love them because they really get to the heart of the issue, which are usually heart issues not stuff issues. I went through Declutter Like a Mother the last round. I think it was 30 minutes a day for 30 days which was hard on days we were out of the house most of the day. The Clutter Challenge has been great for when I’ve needed it here and there because birthdays and holidays continue to happen every year and stuff comes in quickly!, we homeschool (enough said), and we have many teacher-y folks in our (extended) family who always have extras from their projects which we appreciate but it does add up.
REMINDER
We are DECLUTTERING, not cleaning or organizing.
